The 307 is assured of a place in aviation history, despite the fact that only 10 were produced. In 1938 it was the pinnacle of contemporary airliner design. In fact, the aircraft was almost an adapted bomber, drawing heavily on the B-17 but utilising an entirely redesigned circular fuselage. The aircraft pointed the way to great post-war designs.
